Outsiders #42 (DC Comics)

This is third part of the Mad Scientists storyline which is the second arc since OYL for the Outsiders.  After revealing who the mastermind of the cloning experiments was at the end of last story arc.  This issue will finally find out what the villain’s motivations are and the team confronts them with some interesting results.  I must say I didn’t read many Outsiders comics before OYL but this title has hooked me and each month it has continue to be constantly entertaining and good book.

The Artwork was split between Ron Randall & Pop Mhan not to much difference between the two artists both do an adequate job with the pencils.  I would have to say it is slightly above average as far as comic art is concerned but it didn’t overpower me at all.  Consistently solid is what I would call the artwork on this series good panels and story telling through out.

Bottom Line:

If you are a Nightwing fan the best characterization of him currently out, good team book overall.  Not, the best issue to jump on with for new readers but find the post OYL issues to catch up on one of the most under-rated team books out there.
