Moon Knight #2 (Marvel Comics)
Chapter Two of the Bottom is more of a builder issue that gives you more of an insight of how poorly Marc Spector has handled his fall from grace. Charlie Huston shows a man that hit totally rock bottom, but is slowly realizing as he remember his past mistakes that it is more to him than what he is now. Also, we get to see the fight between Bushman and him that lead to the horrible injuries that have sidelined him. This was a beautifully illustrated sequence by David Finch and has to go down as one of the bloodiest fights I have ever seen in comics. With a lot of talk being made about violence in comics today it is good to see it used in an effective manner. Especially for a character like Moon Knight which has been a mercenary and killer in the past, he is someone that knows no mercy and lives and a world of pure brutality. Toward the end of this issue a new plot thread emerges showing that someone else has an interest in The Moon Knight.
