Green Arrow #74 (DC Comics)
Breakdown
This is the final story arc of this current Green Arrow series ending with the next issue #75 (Special Extra Size Issue) 40 page final issue.
Story
Everything in this series has been reaching a fever pitch as we head toward the final issue. Brick has decided to end all alliances that he has honored between Green Arrow and himself since the beginning of One Year Later. Brick goes about re-establishing his power structure in Star City by bringing an army of meta-humans to do so. Also, Black Canary’s presence is felt heavily in this issue when it comes to what the future will hold for both Ollie and Dinah.
Writing
Judd Winick has done a wonderful job with this series and I think he is a really under-rated writer despite how established he is. An for some reason he has gotten a bum rap for his job on Green Arrow as well as Outsiders which I think is totally unfounded. Especially after recently going back reading Quiver, Winick has respectfully honored everything all the other writers done before him and building upon it. If you haven’t read this series it is worth checking into. The whole series has been traded and I can’t recommend this series highly enough. The writer has not missed a note with the characterizations and progression through out the issue which makes the upcoming the finale that much sadder as a fan.
Art
Another strong effort by Scott McDaniel and company with a top-notch artist effort from all involved and you can tell they care a lot for the character and making the book the best possible.
Cover
Another great cover from McDaniel and did a re-shoot from the first cover he did starting One Year Later.

Bottom Line
This has been a very solid series with only one issue left it might be to late to get on to the monthly book but this whole series has been traded so don't make the same mistake twice. Pick this one up, you will enjoy it, trust me.
