Breakdown

A low-life thug wanna-be gangster, is mysteriously brought back from the dead. But, for whom and for what purpose?  This is a film noire gangster mystery tale with demons and humans fighting over control of the underworld.

Story

I have never been a fan of the older style gangster movies, but the Damned might have changed that for me.  The writing on the book is good for anyone looking to pick up a new book.  This first issue does a good job introducing you to the world and setting up the rest of the series.  I think if you like gangster stories, film noire, and mysteries this would be a good book to try!

Artwork

I must say that the art did not overwhelmed in this book, but I felt it matched the tone of the book so it was effective, but not impressive.
